We continue our celebration of 25 years of service to the Montgomery County community with our 2016 Volunteer Fair and Community Breakfast. The event will be held Saturday, November 5th at Crawfordsville High School from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and a free breakfast will be available to the first 250 attendees and door prizes awarded throughout the morning. Studies show that purposeful volunteer work improves both physical and mental health, especially for older adults.
Many nonprofit agencies will be set up and ready to talk about the many opportunities they have available as well as answer questions. Each will have specific job descriptions including the skills and qualities they are seeking in the ideal volunteer. This will be a great chance to explore the wide variety of service opportunities here in Montgomery County. There are jobs that require little time, others which require a great deal of time. Some require a particular skill; some require little skill at all. Some are suitable for youth and many are suitable for all ages. To learn more, or to sign up your nonprofit to participate, contact Cheryl at cheryl@mccf-in.org or at 362.1267 for details. Come and explore all of the available volunteer opportunities!
