Representatives from nine agencies gathered Friday afternoon to accept grant checks from the Montgomery County Community Foundation. Awards from the second round of competitive grants along with distributions from Donor Advised Funds totaled $141,737.
Grant awards covered a wide range of needs in our community including support for our local animal shelter, programs and resources for our youth, and transitional housing. To see a complete list of our grant awards, please click here.
MCCF also manages Donor Advised Funds. A Donor Advised Fund allows the fund owner to recommend the grant recipient to the MCCF Board of Directors. The MCCF Board approved two such recommendations. The Rex and Sandra Henthorn Fund made a grant to the City of Crawfordsville to support Pike Place Park. The Mag & Lil Fund made a grant to Montgomery County 4-H to buy supplies for a Maker Space program they are placing at Southmont Junior High School.
Applications for the next unrestricted grant cycle will be due October 8th. Please see Cheryl Keim, Grants Coordinator, for questions.
