Requirements: 3.0+ GPA, Study in Agriculture at Purdue University
Description:
The Keith Hester Scholarship Fund was established by anonymous donors in memory of Keith who passed away in 2012. The scholarship will be awarded to a Southmont graduating senior attending Purdue University to study agriculture. Keith and his family farmed in the South Montgomery area for more than 60 years making this scholarship a very fitting tribute to his life.
The Keith Hester Scholarship Fund will provide a scholarship toward tuition and fees for a student from Southmont High School who is enrolled at Purdue University in the study of Agriculture. The scholarship will be awarded for one year only and is not renewable.
Criteria:
- Be a graduate in good standing of Southmont High School, Montgomery County, Indiana by the end of June of the year in which the application is filed
- You must be planning to pursue a degreein Agriculture and attend Purdue University
- Must have a grade point average of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale
- Must have completed a minimum of seven (7) semesters or ten (10) trimesters by the application deadline to be eligible to apply for the Keith Hester Scholarship
