Description:
The Myron and Patsy Pattison Scholarship Fund was established by local philanthropists Myron and Patsy Pattison. The Pattisons established their scholarship fund to help students attending a college or university in the State of Indiana during their sophomore year of college.
The Pattison Scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding college freshmen from Montgomery County. It is for one year only and not renewable. Selection for this scholarship is based on academic excellence, leadership qualities on and off campus, and likelihood of post-graduate studies.
Criteria:
- You must have graduated from a public high school in Montgomery County, Indiana which you attended at least two full years during your high school education
- You must be a freshman at and scheduled to attend your sophomore year at an accredited college or university in the State of Indiana
- You must have a minimum college grade point average of 3.00 out of 4.00
Requirements:
- Complete the online Pattison Application form. Check here for updated scholarship application due date and information.
- You will be asked to upload an official college transcript in addition to the high school transcript
- Be prepared to answer the following essay (300 word maximum) addressing the following statement: Pattison scholarship applicants are evaluated in part on the likelihood of post-graduate studies. Please write an essay describing your career goal, the post-graduate education required and your plan to achieve this goal.
