Payton Kobel Scholarship

Description:

The Payton Kobel Scholarship Fund was established in 2020 to honor the memory of Payton Kobel, a 2018 North Montgomery graduate who excelled both academically and athletically. Payton was Academic All-State in football and track, a Provost Scholarship recipient and IU Founders Scholar at Indiana University, as well as a direct admit to the Kelley School of Business. The Kobel Scholarship is a one year, non-renewable award.

Criteria:
  • Be a graduate in good standing from North Montgomery High School or Crawfordsville High School by the end of June of the year in which the application is filed.
  • Must have completed a minimum of ten (10) trimesters by the application deadline.
  • Must be ranked in the top 10% of his/her graduating class.
  • Be accepted into and attend an accredited two-year or four-year public or private college or university.
  • Must have participated in at least two (2) sports during high school career and earned at least four varsity letters.
  • Answer the following essay question in 300 words or less:
    • “We all face adversity in life; how do you build resiliency both physically and emotionally?”
